Head installed and torqued down. I have used a mini waterpump without the bypass as I am not planning on having a water based heater.

There's about 1mm clearance between the pulley and the old camshaft / oil pump; would like more but worried about the clearance to the front cross member.

Back plate

Mental note to self - when fixing an alloy back plate DONT use spring washers...

Back plate was installed with gasket and insta-gasket. Flywheel was mounted with locktabs; oiled up to get the right torque so no locktite..

Still not sure what the tapped hole at the back of the head is for....

Sorry, bit remiss of me but I have had too much other stuff on...

Still, its christmas so what else to do but get into the garage!

Here you can see the machined crank pulley mounted with the VR sensor.
