Ceramic coated pistons
From Camcoat (ask for Peter...)
Three coatings:
The grey coating is a moly-disulphide dry-film lubricant coating reduces frictional losses and reduces the chances of galling and scuffing.
Inside the piston the black coating is a thermal dispersant coating inside the piston maximises the amount of heat rejection from the metal.
On to the top is a thin, highly polished ceramic coating on the crown insulates the piston. The reflective surface reduces carbon build-up and increases the rate of combustion.
